Overview
Conex Smart's Quality Assurance Technician is the final checkpoint before products leave the facility, responsible for ensuring all products meet quality standards and specifications. The role requires keen attention to detail and technical expertise to inspect cable and wire products for compliance with engineering requirements and industry standards. A solid understanding of product applications and the ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and blueprints are essential.
Responsibilities- Perform detailed inspections of work-in-process products according to defined procedures.
- Document product non-conformities and communicate findings to the production team and QA Supervisor.
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues promptly and support continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
- Assist in developing and improving quality processes; suggest and implement process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Support quality data entry and generate reports; assist with product release documentation as needed.
Additional duties may include other responsibilities, initiatives, and ad-hoc projects as required.
Minimum QualificationsEducation:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience:
- Three years’ experience in aerospace wire harness assembly, fabrication, production, aerospace manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of quality assurance processes in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with ITAR Export Control compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with IPC 620 and AS9100D.
Skills:
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Technical skills in soldering, crimping, and testing equipment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience with quality data entry and report generation.
The role may require sitting, standing, walking, using hands, and lifting up to 20 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. The work environment is typical of a manufacturing facility with corresponding noise levels.
