ABOUT

THE ROLE

As a Senior Manufacturing Technician at Biofire, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of our advanced Smart Gun. We are looking for someone who can oversee our assembly process, troubleshoot technical issues within production and manufacturing as well as implement improvements to enhance productivity and product quality to contribute to our expanding manufacturing organization.

To succeed you will need to be able to execute quality production, help lead and train other manufacturing technicians, and be a strong contributor to various goals and projects that will help scale our manufacturing department. You will need to be an adaptable production specialist, who is eager to help our organization build and scale. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Day-to-day responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Manufacturing Process Management:
    Lead and oversee the manufacturing processes involved in the production of smartgun systems, including assembly, testing, and quality control procedures;

  • Technical Troubleshooting:
    Utilize your expertise to troubleshoot technical issues that arise during manufacturing operations, promptly addressing and resolving problems to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency;

  • Quality Assurance:
    Implement rigorous quality assurance measures to ensure that all smartgun products meet strict quality standards and regulatory requirements;

  • Process Optimization:
    Identify areas for process improvement and optimization within the manufacturing workflow, proposing and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product performance;

  • Training and Development:
    Provide guidance and mentorship to junior manufacturing technicians, facilitating their professional growth and ensuring that all team members possess the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven expertise in manufacturing and assembly processes, equipment operation, and quality control procedures;

  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies;

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues;

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment;

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing technician role, preferably within the firearms or safety-critical industry.
