Employees who are required to work on-site are eligible for a $1,450 monthly housing allowance, provided they meet program guidelines.

Highly skilled mechanic who safely performs diagnostic, maintenance, and repair of light duty vehicles and equipment which may include quarter to one ton pickup trucks, skid steers, fork lifts, boom trucks, lube trucks or other light duty equipment.
- Performs diagnostic, replacement and repairs on, but not limited to:
Engines, transmissions and transaxles, manual drive train and axles, suspension, steering, brakes, clutches, AC units and electric motors - Prioritizes and makes decisions regarding equipment repair as needed
- Performs mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance to include:
Oil and lube service, coolant system flush, transmissions services, filter and gasket checks, checking of water pumps, thermostats, belts, radiator hoses and clutch fans - Trains and mentors other employees
- Performs welding, such as: carbon arc, and Mig
- May operate equipment such as: forklifts, cranes, and small mobile equipment
- Acts as a Fill‑in Supervisor as needed
- Responsible for maintaining work orders, a clean and safe work area and performing work area inspections
- Performs other duties as required
- Two (2) years of experience in light duty mechanical/maintenance or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance
- Knowledge of general to advanced electrical
- Ability to read schematics
- High School diploma or GED
- ASE certifications
- Knowledge and ability to use various computer aided diagnostic tools
- Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety‑related instructions and procedures given in English
- Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
- Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
- Work is performed in a mine or manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, and work on elevated platforms
- Occasionally may be required to lift up to fifty (50) pounds during the course of the work day
- May be required to work rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 operation
