About Autonomize AI

Autonomize AI is revolutionizing healthcare by streamlining knowledge workflows with AI. We reduce administrative burdens and elevate outcomes, empowering professionals to focus on what truly matters — improving lives. We're growing fast and looking for bold, driven leaders to join us.

The Opportunity

We are hiring a Lead of Clinical Strategy & AI Safety to lead clinical integrity, product validation, and enterprise adoption of our AI solutions. You will be the driving force behind our clinical roadmap, responsible AI guardrails, and end-to-end execution.

You’ll build and lead a clinical team, shape our platform with Product and Engineering, and engage deeply with enterprise clients to ensure trust and adoption.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical AI Strategy & Product Leadership
  • Define and champion the clinical vision across Autonomize’s platform.
  • Collaborate with Product & Engineering to ensure AI outputs are safe, usable, and aligned to payer/provider workflows.
  • Lead clinical validation and QA: build review protocols, edge-case escalation, and internal feedback loops.
  • Translate clinical reality into scalable AI features, ontologies, and documentation logic.
Team Building & Leadership
  • Hire, mentor, and lead a top-tier clinical org including reviewers, informaticists, and strategic advisors.
  • Instill Autonomize values: ownership, clarity, and final-mile execution.
  • Build feedback loops that elevate product and customer success.
Enterprise Enablement & Change Management
  • Partner with Customer Success to lead clinical enablement and drive adoption at scale.
  • Serve as the trusted clinical executive for enterprise customers — resolving concerns, accelerating value, and championing transformation.
  • Architect training, rollout, and change playbooks that improve speed to trust.
Responsible AI & Governance
  • Ensure our AI solutions uphold clinical safety, fairness, and compliance.
  • Build and continuously evolve a robust Clinical Governance Framework — including internal guidelines, model audits, and partner collaboration.
  • Stay ahead of payer policy shifts, regulatory updates (e.g. CMS, NCQA, FDA), and ethical AI standards.
External Thought Leadership & Market Impact
  • Represent Autonomize externally — on panels, in whitepapers, and with partners.
  • Contribute to thought leadership on responsible clinical AI, healthtech adoption, and innovation at scale.
  • Build credibility with enterprise clients, regulators, and the broader healthcare ecosystem.
Qualifications
  • MD, DO, or equivalent with 10+ years of clinical practice — ideally across provider and payer environments.
  • Strong background in utilization management, care coordination, documentation, and health system workflows.
  • Proven success launching digital health, health-IT, or AI-driven solutions in enterprise settings.
  • Demonstrated leadership in change management — from stakeholder alignment to behavior change and adoption.
  • Deep familiarity with responsible AI practices, clinical QA, and emerging regulatory standards.
  • Clear communicator and cross-functional leader — able to align technical, clinical, and commercial perspectives.
  • Startup grit: comfortable with ambiguity, velocity, and end-to-end ownership.
Bonus Points
  • Experience commercializing clinical AI/ML solutions.
  • Familiarity with FHIR, SNOMED, ICD-10, CPT, and claims-based documentation.
  • Background in clinical informatics or NLP.
What We Offer
  • A chance to make a real impact in the future of healthcare
  • Autonomy, ownership, and the ability to chart your own growth path
  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • 100% employer-paid health, vision, and dental insurance
  • Retirement plans (401k), disability insurance, employee assistance programs
