The OpportunityWe are hiring a Lead of Clinical Strategy & AI Safety to lead clinical integrity, product validation, and enterprise adoption of our AI solutions. You will be the driving force behind our clinical roadmap, responsible AI guardrails, and end-to-end execution.
You’ll build and lead a clinical team, shape our platform with Product and Engineering, and engage deeply with enterprise clients to ensure trust and adoption.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical AI Strategy & Product Leadership
- Define and champion the clinical vision across Autonomize’s platform.
- Collaborate with Product & Engineering to ensure AI outputs are safe, usable, and aligned to payer/provider workflows.
- Lead clinical validation and QA: build review protocols, edge-case escalation, and internal feedback loops.
- Translate clinical reality into scalable AI features, ontologies, and documentation logic.
- Hire, mentor, and lead a top-tier clinical org including reviewers, informaticists, and strategic advisors.
- Instill Autonomize values: ownership, clarity, and final-mile execution.
- Build feedback loops that elevate product and customer success.
- Partner with Customer Success to lead clinical enablement and drive adoption at scale.
- Serve as the trusted clinical executive for enterprise customers — resolving concerns, accelerating value, and championing transformation.
- Architect training, rollout, and change playbooks that improve speed to trust.
- Ensure our AI solutions uphold clinical safety, fairness, and compliance.
- Build and continuously evolve a robust Clinical Governance Framework — including internal guidelines, model audits, and partner collaboration.
- Stay ahead of payer policy shifts, regulatory updates (e.g. CMS, NCQA, FDA), and ethical AI standards.
- Represent Autonomize externally — on panels, in whitepapers, and with partners.
- Contribute to thought leadership on responsible clinical AI, healthtech adoption, and innovation at scale.
- Build credibility with enterprise clients, regulators, and the broader healthcare ecosystem.
- MD, DO, or equivalent with 10+ years of clinical practice — ideally across provider and payer environments.
- Strong background in utilization management, care coordination, documentation, and health system workflows.
- Proven success launching digital health, health-IT, or AI-driven solutions in enterprise settings.
- Demonstrated leadership in change management — from stakeholder alignment to behavior change and adoption.
- Deep familiarity with responsible AI practices, clinical QA, and emerging regulatory standards.
- Clear communicator and cross-functional leader — able to align technical, clinical, and commercial perspectives.
- Startup grit: comfortable with ambiguity, velocity, and end-to-end ownership.
- Experience commercializing clinical AI/ML solutions.
- Familiarity with FHIR, SNOMED, ICD-10, CPT, and claims-based documentation.
- Background in clinical informatics or NLP.
