Gateway Canyons Resort & Spa rests on 180 acres in the red rock canyons of western Colorado. 72‑room luxury resort with amenities that include lodging, dining, UTV and Jeep tours, horseback riding, full‑service spa & air tours.
PositionResort Culinary Team hiring Line Cooks / Prep Cooks.
Responsibilities- Prepare, plan, prep, organize the line setup and provide quality service in all areas of food production.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental and resort policies and procedures.
- Ensure all prep work is maintained throughout the shift.
- Maintain excellent working knowledge of department menu items, ingredients and recipes.
- Inspect the cleanliness and organization of the line and workstations; rectify deficiencies and maintain through the shift.
- Prep work on items needed for the particular menu of the day.
- Organize all various prep items needed from different areas to ensure all items are in place and ready for service.
- Maintain proper storage procedures as specified by health department and resort requirements.
- Disinfect and sanitize cutting boards and worktables.
- Assist with inventories as scheduled.
- Assist in plating banquet hot meals as assigned.
- Follow maintenance program and cleaning schedule.
- Perform duties in other areas of kitchen as assigned.
- Two year's experience in a similar position.
- Culinary line or prep cook experience.
- Technical culinary abilities, proficient knife skills, progressive cook styles and abilities.
- Experience in the hospitality industry or a similar position.
- Seasonal position - $18.00 - $21.00/hour plus gratuity.
