• Conduct patient testing across all laboratory departments, adhering to established protocols.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control measures for lab instruments.
• Handle and process specimens with precision, ensuring compliance with testing and safety standards.
• Accurately document, review, and report patient test results, including critical values.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues impacting test performance or elevate as necessary.
• Assist with supervisory duties under the guidance of the laboratory supervisor.

• Collect and prepare specimens following prescribed guidelines, ensuring patient comfort and understanding.
• Accession, label, and distribute specimens to appropriate lab departments.
• Manage billing forms, lab requisitions, and patient records with accuracy.
• Use computer systems for data input, storage, and retrieval.

• Certification: ASCP, NCA, AMT, or equivalent national certification required.
• Technical Expertise:
  Strong understanding of lab testing protocols, specimen handling, and quality control procedures.
• Problem Solver:
  Ability to identify and address issues promptly and effectively.
• Detail‑Oriented:
  Commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and following procedures.

• Minimum of Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technician (Chemical or Biological Sciences) or Medical Laboratory technician from an accredited institution.
• Two years’ experience preferred, but not required.

• National recognized laboratory certification such as ASCP, NCA or AMT is required.
• Current BLS certification.
