Overview
Substance Abuse Therapist needed for a temporary contract (potential temp-to-hire) opportunity with Yoh’s addiction center client located in Broomfield, CO. Flexible schedule options: all day shifts and no on-call! Most work Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, with options such as Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday, etc. Anticipating the role to last at least 1-3 months with potential for extension.
ResponsibilitiesProvide individual, group, and family therapy services to clients with substance use disorders and co-occurring behavioral health conditions. This role is accountable for assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, facilitating therapeutic interventions, and ensuring compliance with clinical and regulatory standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote recovery, support relapse prevention, and help clients achieve long-term sobriety.
Top Skills You Should Possess- Active state licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent)
- Preferred: addiction-specific certification (e.g., LAC, CAC, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in addiction treatment and co-occurring disorders
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, intake evaluations, and ongoing clinical assessments for assigned clients
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and treatment teams
- Facilitate group therapy sessions (average 2-3 per day) on topics including relapse prevention, coping skills, trauma, and recovery education
- Provide individual therapy and family counseling as clinically appropriate
- Document all services accurately and timely in accordance with clinical, state, and federal requirements
- Coordinate care with case managers, physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure continuity of care
- Attend and participate in clinical meetings, treatment team reviews, and case consultations
- Support discharge planning and transition of clients to aftercare programs or community resources
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Joint Commission, CMS, and state regulations
- Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
- Excellent group facilitation, documentation, and crisis intervention skills
- Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
- Maintain licensure and continuing education requirements as mandated by state and professional boards
