Duties Help
* Provides management advisory and staffing services to installation-level organizations. The AFROTC region has a range of professional, administrative, clerical, trades and crafts, and highly technical positions.
* Advises managers and/or employees of legal or regulatory requirements, pertinent policies, procedures, and/or entitlements. Successful completion of the AFROTC program requires cadets to meet standards in many categories, including military, academics, fitness and medical.
* Participates in special initiatives, studies, and projects. Participates in initiatives, studies, and projects such as self-assessment reviews.
* Prepares written correspondence and other documents. Writes a variety of documents to include items for newsletters, supporting documents for responses to Congressional Inquiries, reports of special studies, scripts/slides for briefings, letters responding to inquiries from employees and detachments, and supplements to instructions and directives.
* Serves as the HR focal point for one or more cadet, employee and management support programs. Requirements Help Conditions of employment

* Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
* Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
* Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
* The employee must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance. Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. SPECIALIZED
EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes (1) planning, organizing, and directing the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization; (2) conducting studies, analyzing findings, or making recommendations on substantive operating programs; (3) using and applying conventional analytic techniques to the identification, considerations, and resolution of program related issues and problems.

EDUCATION:
Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position.

EDUCATION:
Less than the full amount of specialized experience described in the job opportunity announcement; however, and have at least one year of progressively higher level graduate education, but have not obtained a master's or equivalent graduate degree. Therefore, have a combination of experience and education.
NOTE:
You must submit a copy of transcripts. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. SKILLS AND ABILITIES
(KSAs):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
* Knowledge of Air Force ROTC Programs.
* Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
* Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
* Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
* Ability to analyze, evaluate, and adjust programs based on feedback from end users.
* Knowledge of the functional relationships between HR specializations. PART-TIME OR UNPAID
EXPERIENCE:
