We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounting Specialist to coordinate financial processes and support project delivery. The Project Accountant is responsible for working with internal and external partners to coordinate AR/AP processing, working with finance for monthly reporting, and supporting budgeting and forecasting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial accounting principles, data analysis techniques, and reporting tools.
Reports to: Accounting Manager
Responsibilities- Financial Coordination and Processing:
- Coordinate and process accounts payable.
- Collect and analyze financial data from various sources.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and presentations.
- Project Analysis and Reporting:
- Develop and maintain financial models for projects and ongoing reporting.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to management.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Industry Compliance and Audit Support:
- Work with external auditors during the audit process.
- Stay up-to-date on financial reporting regulations and standards.
- Establish knowledge of the construction industry through interactions with industry experts.
- Budget Management:
- Coordinate project budgets with UBG project managers and management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in project accounting or a related role.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles.
- Proficiency in data analysis techniques and reporting tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Work Environment: This is an in-office position at our Broomfield, CO location.
- Travel: Minimal travel is expected for this position.
- Physical Requirements: Largely a sedentary role, bending or standing as necessary.

Salary Range: $65,000 – $80,000 per year
Job Type: Full-time
