Overview
Senior Accountant role hosted by Jobot. Salary $90,000 - $130,000 per year. This position is for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced accounting professional who will join our Accounting and Finance team. The Senior Accountant will prepare financial statements, ensure compliance with government standards and regulations, and handle other accounting duties. A seasoned professional with a strong understanding of accounting principles and a strategic mindset is needed to analyze and improve our financial operations.

Job Details Responsibilities- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with the established schedule and with input from the accounting department.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and issues that should be brought to the CFO's attention.
- Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary.
- Coordinate semi-annual audits and assist the CFO with conducting audits.
- Conduct regular ledger maintenance.
- Adhere to the company's financial policies and procedures.
- Attend finance department and company-wide meetings, sometimes assisting with financial reporting to managers and senior executives.
- Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of federal and state laws and regulations to ensure the company's compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- 5+ years of accounting/finance experience with thorough understanding of Government Accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience with financial reporting requirements.
- Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Experience with accounting software, like Quick Books and Fresh Books.
- Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and GAAP.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage through ambiguity and complexity.
- Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.
- Ability to work cooperatively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance and results.
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to direct and supervise.
