Role OverviewAs an Industrial Engineering Associate, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to analyze workflows, refine production methods, and help design environments that enable both productivity and employee well‑being. This role blends hands‑on manufacturing exposure with data‑driven analysis and digital modeling tools.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development and documentation of standardized work procedures for new and existing production lines.
- Assist in designing manufacturing workstations that promote safety, ergonomic integrity, and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to plant layout planning, incorporating equipment requirements, human interaction points, and material flow considerations.
- Participate in line balancing efforts to optimize task distribution across operators and equipment in response to shifting customer demand.
- Conduct time studies and work measurement analysis to break down processes, identify inefficiencies, and reduce waste.
- Assist in cost evaluations related to make versus buy decisions for components and subassemblies.
- Leverage digital modeling and simulation tools to analyze manufacturing scenarios before implementation, enabling informed decision making.
- Interpret engineering drawings to ensure manufacturing processes align with product design intent.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at lowering cost, enhancing quality, and increasing throughput.
- Promote proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying risks and contributing to corrective actions.
- Manufacturing Systems Insight:
Understanding of production methods, equipment integration, and process optimization within an industrial setting. - Ergonomic Awareness:
Ability to apply ergonomic principles to reduce risk and improve operator comfort and productivity. - Process Analysis:
Skill in evaluating workflows, quantifying work elements, and redistributing tasks to improve efficiency. - Digital Manufacturing Tools:
Familiarity with modeling and simulation platforms used to test and refine process improvements. - Continuous Improvement Mindset:
