We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Systems Engineer supporting one of our premier programs where your knowledge with regards to requirements, architecture and design elaboration, system engineering analyses, script development, interface definition and control, and verification and validation will be put to good use. The work is on-site in Aurora, CO.
What You Will Do
Provide technical analyses and define how the system works using Model-Based Systems Engineering
Decompose requirements, define system interfaces and help determine how requirements will be validated and verified by the test team
Provide capability and feature designs to the software engineering team in support of agile development
Provide engineering support for the execution of a portion of the program’s test program including test processes and baseline definition, test architecture design, verification, and validation
Support regression testing across deliverable releases to the program baseline
Support and attend technical reviews and technical interchanges in support of the program
Active DOD TS to Start with Ability to Obtain Special Access
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
Experience of systems engineering lifecycle, roles and functions, with specific experience in one or more of the following areas:
Concept of Operations (Con Ops) development, requirements definition and management, functional analysis, interface definition and control, and/or verification and validationExperience on a government contract with experience in systems engineering or integration and test
Active and transferable U.S. government issued DOD
TS/SCI is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience working in an Agile development environment and with Agile development tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.)
Experience in mission management ground systems
Experience with MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler)
Experience with requirements management in DOORS or other requirements databases
Experience developing and deploying SW in a cloud environment.
Experience writing, running, and integrating automating tests with automated test tools as well as developing scripts in Python or Perl
