- Develop and manage large-scale Solid Works assemblies, including detailed parts, subassemblies, and complex machinery components.
- Execute full product lifecycle design, from initial concept, modeling, prototyping, to final production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and manufacturability requirements.
- Create detailed drawings, BOMs, and documentation to support manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback to improve assembly efficiency and component integration.
- Utilize Solid Works tools and features to handle complex surfaces, large assemblies, configurations, and advanced mating.
- Minimum 5 years of professional Solid Works experience.
- Proven experience with very large assemblies (4,000+ components) and complex machining designs.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, GD&T, tolerancing, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly optimization.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve design issues in large-scale mechanical systems.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills in hybrid work environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field preferred.
- Experience with PDM/PLM systems to manage large assemblies.
- Familiarity with advanced simulation, motion studies, or FEA in Solid Works.
- Experience in custom machinery or industrial equipment design.
