Sr. Mechanical Engineering Technician in our Broomfield, CO Location.

Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with science & engineering (mechanical, electrical, systems) teams to support the build & documentation of electrical, optical, & environmental products & systems
- Under limited supervision, perform prototype assembly and verification as well as contribute to the creation of instructions, and processes for production
- Produce engineering documentation, reports, and drawings (flow charts, schematics, etc.)
- Order parts and equipment for engineering development and testing. Track and manage budgets for small engineering purchases.
- Lead troubleshooting, failure analysis, and root cause corrective action of electrical, optical, & environmental products
- Manage and maintain lab equipment: 3D Printers, Laser Cutter/Engraver, and similar
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with mechanical portions of electrical, optical, or environmental products & systems
- Ability to work weekends and evenings when necessary
- Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person. defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status
- Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People’s Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.
- Associate Degree or bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline
- Strong mechanical knowledge/aptitude
- Ability to learn on the job & work in a fast‑paced environment
- Capability to handle multiple priorities at once
