We are seeking a Wind Turbine Technician I to support the safe operation and maintenance of wind turbines and Balance of Plant (BOP) equipment at the Cedar Point Wind Facility. This is an entry-level role working under experienced Lead Technicians, focused on preventive maintenance, basic troubleshooting, inspections, and improving turbine uptime.
This position operates in a safety-critical environment and offers hands-on training across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems with strong long-term career growth in renewable energy.
Responsibilities- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on wind turbines and BOP equipment
- Support basic troubleshooting and diagnostics on turbine systems
- Assist with inspections and unscheduled maintenance work
- Support electrical switching operations and SCADA-based activities
- Interpret electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic drawings and schematics
- Follow LOTO, working-at-heights, confined space, and safety procedures
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- ~1 year of technical or industrial experience
- Ability to read schematics and drawings
- Basic computer skills (Windows)
- Valid Driver’s License; ability to obtain a passport
- Willingness to complete required safety and technical training
