Start Date: Anticipated July 30th for the  School Year

Position Type: Full-time, 169 days per year

Location: Harrison K-8

Salary: Pay for this position is determined by the 169-day Teacher Salary Schedule and is based on education and experience. Salary Range $45,186-$77,720.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • Valid Colorado Teaching License with Secondary Mathematics endorsement or the ability to obtain
  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher
  • Ability to employ a variety of instructional techniques and strategies
  • Desire to incorporate a hands‑on learning approach with traditional curriculum
  • Promote learning skills of critical thinking, problem solving, and creativity
  • Ability to create a positive learning environment for elementary‑aged children
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work with classroom teachers to facilitate/coordinate scheduling of classes and conferences with parents
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must pass pre‑employment physical
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a school atmosphere with staff members, students, and the public
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Knowledge of student developmental stages
  • Ability to communicate with multiple publics
  • Resilience and flexibility in the face of change
  • Ability to read and write in order to comply with directions and instructions to complete tasks and establish priorities.
  • Possess skills to be able to utilize basic technology as directed by the District to communicate and function effectively.

Teachers are held to high expectations for their performance to ensure the success of the individual and the District in serving students and the community.
