Job Summary :
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated K-12 Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs, creating individualized education plans (IEPs), and fostering an inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Schedule and lead IEP meetings with parents and pertinent staff members.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure effective communication and support for students.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and interventions to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
- Create a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education.
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education (K-12).
- Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families.
