Early Childhood Educator – Teacher Assistant Position Summary

The Fremont RE-2 School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator – Teacher Assistant to join our team. This role provides instructional support and direct supervision to students in a variety of educational settings, including regular, special education, and independent classrooms. The ideal candidate will collaborate effectively with teachers and support staff to create a positive and nurturing learning environment.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with students in an educational setting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to understand and effectively address students’ individual needs.
• Successful completion of all mandated criminal background screenings and fingerprinting.
• Successful completion of the confidential child abuse/neglect database (Trails).

• Provide instructional support to students under the guidance of certified teachers.
• Assist in regular, special education, and independent educational settings.
• Provide direct supervision of students throughout the school day.
• Prepare and submit necessary reports as directed by teachers and administration.
• Support a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment for all students.

• Salary based on the Early Childhood Salary Schedule.
