Position Overview
Center for the Arts Evergreen (CAE) seeks an organized, energetic, and community-minded individual to serve as ourEducation Coordinator / Summer Camp Coordinator. This unique, hybrid position supports CAE’s mission to bring the arts and community together through creative learning experiences for all ages.
The ideal candidate is a multitasker with excellent communication skills, a passion for arts education, and a talent for creating meaningful community connections. This role combines administrative coordination, hands-on summer camp management, and outreach program support.
Key Responsibilities
Summer Camp Coordinator (June–August | ~30 hrs/week)
- Coordinate all aspects of CAE’s Summer Art Camps, held five days per week.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for camp families, instructors, and volunteers.
- Oversee daily camp operations, including setup, student check-in/out, and safety protocols.
- Manage communication with parents and guardians before, during, and after camps.
- Organize supplies and maintain camp inventory.
- Work closely with instructors to ensure curriculum and classroom needs are met.
- Supervise Lunch Studio students as needed
- Supervise and support student aides and volunteers.
- Ensure compliance with CAE’s health, safety, and emergency procedures.
- Note:
Camps will not run the week ofJune 29 th orJuly 20th.
Education Administrator (Year-Round | ~6-8 hrs/week outside of summer season)
- Support the Director of Education & Outreach in educational emails and inquiries.
- Manage student registration, rescheduling, and communication.
- Respond promptly to inquiries via CAE’s education email and phone line.
- Maintain accurate class rosters and communicate updates with instructors.
- Assist with classroom setup, signage, and materials as needed.
- Help with data entry, reporting, and tracking attendance and evaluations.
- Help with hanging educational promotional materials throughout town as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience coordinating programs, camps, or educational events.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently.
- Comfortable working with children, adults, and diverse populations.
- Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Square, Constant Contact, or other CRM systems a plus.
- Creative problem solver with a flexible, positive attitude.
- Passion for the arts and CAE’s mission of community engagement.
- Must be available to work on-site during summer camps (June–August).
- Work conducted Jan-May and Sept-Dec can be done hybrid (primarily offsite with some in-person meetings).
- This position begins inFebruary 2026as anhourly contractor role, with the potential to transition to apart-time employeeafter six months.
- Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required for special programs.
- Position requires light physical activity, including setup and takedown of classroom materials and event supplies.
