Purpose and Scope of Program
Under the oversight of the Apprentice Committee, the Permanent Fund administers an Apprenticeship Program providing education, training, on‑the‑job experience, and mentoring to eligible Southern Ute Tribal members. Apprentices must comply with Program standards and requirements to remain participants, and applicants must undergo a formal interview process.

Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must be enrolled Southern Ute Tribal members.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
- Applicants must have graduated from high school or have a GED.
- Applicants must commit to regular and prompt attendance.
The following will disqualify an applicant during the current recruitment period:
- Work references indicating unsatisfactory performance, attendance, or interaction with coworkers and supervisor.
- Unfavorable employment history.
- Deferred judgment or felony/ misdemeanor convictions for theft, assault, or any offense that bears upon suitability for the Apprentice position.
