Student Engagement Specialist - Alpine Achievers Initiative (Southern Colorado) job at Conservation Legacy. Monte Vista, CO. Alpine Achievers Initiative (AAI) inspires, connects and nurtures youth, families, and communities in south central Colorado. Ameri Corps members support local youth, age pre-k through high school, through academic interventions and extracurricular programming as Student Engagement Specialists with AAI.

OPEN JANUARY POSITIONS:
Currently AAI has the following position available beginning January 6th, 2023 ending July 17th, 2023 with option to renew for an additional term.

This position will be based in Poncha Springs, CO at the Schoolhouse serving at an Early Childhood Education Center. The member will assist with daily activities and serve with kiddos ages 2 - 5 years old. There is one other member placed at the Schoolhouse.

• $445 paid bi-weekly, pre-tax
• Housing and utilities provided
• Segal Education Award of $3,247.00 upon successful completion of the term
• Multiple opportunities for professional development. Topics include academic interventions, youth development, risk management, classroom management, program planning, restorative practices, CPR/ First Aid, resume development and interviewing, and other relevant topics
• Access to AAI’s outdoor gear library.
• Facilitated outdoor recreation activities through our Backyard to Back Country Program
