Description

Stargate Charter School is seeking an individual to serve as a Middle School Principal for the 2026
-2027 school year. This position will provide leadership and administration which will motivate instructional and support personnel to strive for superior performance so as to provide the best possible opportunities for student growth and development, both educationally and personally.

This is a 10.5 month, full time, benefited position with a salary range from $100,000 - $150,000 based on related experience. Benefits include employer paid medical, dental, STD, LTD, life insurance, and paid time off; other optional benefits plans, like dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance are available and paid by employee. (Please note benefits are subject to change without notice.)

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate effective instructional leadership skills that provide focus on student growth and achievement.
  • Guide the development of a caring collaborative community that includes all stakeholders in the school.
  • Lead and manage academic personnel to ensure an orderly work and learning environment.
  • Provide purpose and vision for the school. Articulate a belief system through voice and actions, leading the school in a clear focus, communicating your vision for the school, and being the change agent when necessary.
  • Articulate effective instructional practices by providing intellectual stimulation, being actively involved in, and having knowledge of current research in curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
  • Assesses quality of classroom instruction by monitoring, being visible, conducting walkthroughs regularly, communicating, and providing a clear behavior structure and atmosphere.
  • Implement an accountability system through the school accreditation process, aligning instruction with state and school standards, using the school evaluation system, providing expectations for an orderly atmosphere, holding data discussions with staff and teachers, and adapting to the needs of the current situation by seeking input.
  • Establish and foster an adult learning environment by maximizing collaboration and adult learning to improve instruction, providing teachers with materials, inspiring new and challenging innovations, and valuing a sense of community.
  • Organize school operations around improvement of instruction by maintaining a safe and orderly environment while upholding state laws, school, and district policies, managing personnel, collaborating with facility personnel to provide a quality learning environment, efficiently managing financial resources, establishing effective public relationships, and coordinating effective instructional programs with a master schedule.
  • Collaborate with High School principal and Elementary principal to ensure vertical alignment of curriculum standards, process, and procedures
  • Collaborate with the High School and Elementary principals to have common messaging and build cohesive culture across the campus
  • Supervisory responsibilities include hiring, disciplining, terminating, directing work, assigning work, training and evaluating.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Technical Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage conflict.
  • Knowledge and experience implementing gifted best practices.
  • Ability to apply educational research.
  • Knowledge of data analysis, curriculum and instruction, budgeting and accounting, special education laws and employee handbook.
