Qualifications And Expectations

• Required:
  
  BA/BS from accredited college or university
• Preferred:
  Valid Colorado teaching license or Substitute Authorization. Please visit the Colorado Department of Education website for more information on how to obtain authorization:

Essential Job Functions

• Translates lesson plans into learning experience as to best utilize the available time for instruction.
• Demonstrates subject matter concepts and examples using models, technology provided, and teacher- prepared instructional aids.
• Demonstrates punctuality and good attendance.
• Complies with all safety policies, practices and procedures, including proper use of equipment.
• Follows appropriate district policies and procedures.
• Assumes responsibility for instruction, duties, and supervision of students according to assigned position.
• Demonstrates confidentiality as related to job.
• Establishes rapport with students and provides a pleasant, safe, and orderly climate conducive to learning.
• Supervises students in and out of classroom activities during the assigned work day.
