Schedule POSITION SUMMARYThe Outreach Manager plays a key role in delivering impactful, year-round programs that meet the emotional, social, physical, medical, and behavioral needs of Roundup River Ranch campers and their families. This position is responsible for developing innovative programming in collaboration with internal teams and partner organizations. In addition to program development and facilitation across various platforms—including online, off-site & in the hospital—the Outreach Manager supports marketing, admissions, and development initiatives to promote and grow outreach efforts.
This position requires exceptional communication, creativity, organizational skills, and a passion for delivering & tracking meaningful, outcomes-based experiences to children with life-altering diagnoses.
- Work closely with the Assistant Camp Director – Programs to ensure all Roundup River Ranch programs align to support year-round intentional opportunities for campers and their families.
- In coordination with the Assistant Camp Director - Programs, ensure that all programs are responsive to identified camper, community and partner needs, are sustainably resourced, and deliver a measurable return on effort and investment.
- Implement proven strategies and activities that support the emotional, social, physical, medical, & behavioral needs of campers.
- In collaboration with the Assistant Camp Director – Programs create and manage the outreach program budget.
- Ensure the coordination of camper’s medical needs in all aspects of outreach programming.
- Coordinate to recruit, hire, train, supervise, and support full time year round Outreach Fellow and all outreach volunteers.
- Ensure compliance and best practice with licensing, Serious Fun Children’s Network criteria and American Camp Association standards.
- Lead the development of creative outreach programs including program development, content, and materials while working closely with partner organizations and internal stakeholders
- Coordinate volunteer box building initiatives, including ordering all supplies, prototyping activities, volunteer management, and quality control
- Coordinate with other departments as needed including the marketing and development on promotional materials, branded supplies, videos, fundraising, etc.
- Manage the training, maintenance, and quality of our online platform and virtual programs
- Coordinate with the admissions department on volunteer and camper recruitment.
- Complete extensive administrative duties required to support the position within set deadlines including but not limited to the Outreach Calendar, data collecting and reporting.
- Facilitate programs and activities online, at the campsite, and offsite locations including all Howdy Hangout Events.
- Serve as an ambassador for Roundup River Ranch at development, community, and recruitment events.
- Maintains the highest level of confidentiality in all aspects of role.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to quickly prioritize and work within deadlines
- Well-developed, strong writing skills and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrates the Guideposts in all aspects of work
- Interest & ability to write creative, outcome-based activity content for online programs, written materials, & in person programs
- Must be comfortable using computers, pre-recording content and video editing, utilizing databases, branding documents, and more
- Ability to problem solve and think creatively, strong collaboration and team building skills required
- Minimum of two years management or leadership experience
- 4 year degree and/or equivalent work experience and/or related professional certification in a related field
- Previous experience working with children who have a serious illness and / or special needs
- Previous programming experience for children ages 7-17
