Join Our Dynamic Healthcare Team as a Locum Physician Gastroenterology in Lakewood, CO

Are you a committed Gastroenterologist seeking a flexible, impactful opportunity? We are currently recruiting a highly skilled Locum Physician to provide expert inpatient Gastroenterology services, including ERCP, at a Level 1 Trauma center.

This role offers the chance to contribute to urgent December coverage, supporting a busy and diverse patient population with the flexibility to work 5-7 days per month. What You ll Need to Succeed:

• Valid medical license and current certification in Gastroenterology.
• Proven experience performing procedures such as ERCP, EUS, Endoscopy, and managing GI bleeding.
• Strong knowledge of inpatient Gastroenterology care and familiarity with EPIC EMR.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently during 24-hour call shifts.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with trauma and hospitalist teams.

Nice to Have

Skills:

• Prior experience working in a Level 1 Trauma center.
• Experience in advanced procedures beyond basic scopes.
• Familiarity with hospital protocols for trauma and emergency care.
• Previous locum or emergency coverage experience.

Preferred

Education and Experience:

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board-certified or eligible in Gastroenterology.
• At least 3 years of post-training clinical experience.
• Prior EMR training with EPIC highly desirable.

Other Requirements:

• Commitment to working 24-hour call shifts, including holidays, with scheduled days ending at 7 a.m.
• Willingness to stay at designated lodgings such as Sheraton Denver West, Hampton Inn, or similar preferred hotels.
• Credentialing: 60-90 days for routine credentialing; expedited privileges possible with clean files.
• Must provide current NPDB report, CO license, or Active IMLC.
• Complete required EMR modules and training before your first day.
• Travel preference for local driving or willingness to arrange for out-of-town accommodation.
• Candidate should be prepared to perform up to 5-8 scopes per day, with significant involvement in ED and trauma patient care.
