- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options.
- Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure smooth workflow.
- Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while maintaining strict infection control protocols.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office policies.
- Monitor and document patient responses during treatments, ensuring comfort and safety throughout procedures.
- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification.
- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and record keeping.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is highly desirable, with familiarity in pediatric-specific care approaches.
- Skilled in chairside assisting, medical coding, and understanding of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations including pediatrics.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and medical imaging procedures to support comprehensive patient assessments.
Pay: $45.00 - $62.00 per hour
