Meridian Dental is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team.

Heartland Dental is the nation's largest dental support organization, providing non‑clinical administrative support to over 3,000 supported doctors across 39 states and the District of Columbia in more than 1,800 dental offices.

• Greet and welcome patients and sustain comfort throughout treatment.
• Conduct thorough review of patient health history to provide quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.).
• Provide superior chairside assistance (four‑handed dentistry) during a wide variety of procedures in accordance with state dental practice acts.
• Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA & CDC recommendations.
• Manage supply and inventory levels and place orders as needed.
• Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment.
• Required dental assistant and/or x‑ray certification under state dental practice act, if applicable.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Has gained PHI access consistent with HIPAA; will receive regular HIPAA training and must maintain data safeguards.

• 1+ year(s) in a dental setting.
• Experience with Dentrix or other dental software.
• Dental assisting school certification.

• Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Prolonged periods sitting and standing.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
• Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in‑person) periodically throughout the year.
• TB test required for all new hires in dental office positions (except FL & TN).
