More About the Role- Greet and welcome patients and sustain comfort throughout treatment.
- Conduct thorough review of patient health history to provide quality care.
- Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.).
- Provide superior chairside assistance (four‑handed dentistry) during a wide variety of procedures in accordance with state dental practice acts.
- Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
- Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA & CDC recommendations.
- Manage supply and inventory levels and place orders as needed.
- Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.

- Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
- Experience in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment.
- Required dental assistant and/or x‑ray certification under state dental practice act, if applicable.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Has gained PHI access consistent with HIPAA; will receive regular HIPAA training and must maintain data safeguards.
- 1+ year(s) in a dental setting.
- Experience with Dentrix or other dental software.
- Dental assisting school certification.
- Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in‑person) periodically throughout the year.
- TB test required for all new hires in dental office positions (except FL & TN).
