Support Specialist (Entry Level)

About the Role

In this position, you'll support employees from large organizations who use a tuition assistance benefit to reskill, earn certificates, or pursue further education. You'll serve as a trusted resource-answering questions, guiding users through policies, and helping them successfully submit documentation so their tuition payments are processed accurately and on time.

This is a policy‑driven environment with clear guidelines and procedures. Success comes from attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to confidently walk customers through each step of the process.

What You'll Do

+ Respond to inbound calls and inquiries related to tuition assistance benefits

+ Help users navigate the online portal, including login support

+ Review submitted documentation, identify what's missing, and guide users through corrections

+ Walk customers through audit and verification steps when needed

+ Support first‑time users by explaining benefit policies in a clear, approachable way

+ Handle escalated or frustrated conversations with professionalism and empathy

+ Use multiple systems simultaneously (CRM tools, email, internal platforms) to resolve issues efficiently

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

+ 1-2+ years of customer service or administrative experience

+ Comfort using multiple systems at once (CRM tools, Outlook, online platforms, etc.)

+ Strong independent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills

+ Exceptional attention to detail

+ Ability to handle difficult or emotional conversations with confidence and resilience

+ Understanding the importance of accuracy-these conversations often involve thousands of dollars in tuition support

Nice to Have

+ Experience working with college admissions or education‑related services

+ Previous college experience (community college, associate's, or bachelor's degree)

+ Experience handling sensitive or high‑emotion situations with strong emotional intelligence

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $18.75/hr.
