Part-Time, Non-Exempt employees are eligible for but not limited to the following:
- Sick leave benefit – 1 day per month, 12 sick days per year (accrual and availability begins at hire; sick time accrual is pro-rated for part-time hours.)
- Attend and participate in evening programs and spiritual activities.
- Maintain a standard of cleanliness in personal grooming and in living quarters.
- Assist with the clean-up of the total camp at the end of each session and at the conclusion of the summer.
- Prepare and deliver the Arts and Crafts Coordinator camp brief at the end of the summer.
- Assist with evening cabin supervision
- Attend and participate in Staff Orientation.
- Attend and participate in all camp wide activities, campfires, staff meetings and staff devotions
- Assist with Camper check-in and check-out.
Safety and Supervision
- Attend and participate in evening programs and spiritual activities.
- Enforce, and abide by, all camp policies and procedures
- Responsible for the health and well-being of self and campers.
- Maintain the utmost level of safety for staff and campers at all times
- Practice and enforce all camp safety regulations and emergency procedures.
- Maintain group/staff control at specialized group activities so that other support staff can focus on safety.
- Ensure compliance with American Camping Association standards of safety and programmatic conduct at all times.
- Coordinate and implement all program components relative to the daily schedule in a timely fashion.
- Supervise and direct all staff and volunteers assigned to work/help in the A&C program.
- Help organize files needed for state inspections and childcare licensing.
- Help with registration and checking required documents for campers.
- Help with tracking meals for USDA summer food program.
- Attend relevant in-service trainings.
- Develop and facilitate A&C programs for Elementary, Middle, and High School campers.
- Plan and prepare A&C activities that are age-appropriate and engaging.
- Prepare for each cohort group before their A&C time.
- Clean the A&C area after each cohort group departs.
- Help coordinate any special programs like theme weeks, 4th of July, Christmas in July, etc.
- Manage budget, maintain, and stock all A&C program equipment and supplies.
- Consult with the Director or Assistant Director for any equipment needs or repairs.
- Maintain an inventory list to know what needs replenishing throughout the summer.
- Support Staff Training with creative activities.
- Help coordinate Staff Training art project by providing direction and supplies.
- Clean Arts and Crafts area on the last day of programing, after camper check-out and before the staff meeting.
- Sweep, sanitize, and take out the trash.
- When not supervising the A&C programing, serve as an Activities Specialist.
- Work in a variety of program areas to support cabins.
- This may include archery, zipline, sports, etc. and will be determined by need and experience/comfort.
- Attend all relevant in-services for areas trained.
- Perform all other duties and roles assigned.
- Due to the particular nature of the camp program in session, you may be asked to assist in duties not directly related to this specific job description. This is necessary for the smooth operation of the camp. Staff members are expected to comply with all reasonable requests.

- 18+ years of age preferred.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (may be obtained on site).
- Experience and previous knowledge of hands-on crafts for youth.
- Ability to use positive behavior management techniques with campers and an ability to adapt to difficult situations with a sense of maturity and safety.
