The Cabin Counselor provides leadership for, lives with, and cares for a cabin group of 8-10 campers. They work collaboratively with a co‑counselor to ensure each camper’s physical, social, and emotional health and safety needs are met, and organize, plan, and safely run activity classes each week.
Base Pay Range$617.60/yr - $617.60/yr
Essential Functions- Create a safe space for all campers, families, and staff. Promote safe work practices.
- Build rapport and positive relationships, putting camper needs first.
- Respond to camper and customer requests, troubleshoot and develop solutions.
- Contribute to a cooperative, positive camp community as a team player.
- Maintain the upkeep and cleanliness of the camp facility, reporting repairs promptly.
- Assist other departments as needed.
- Participate in staff training before working with campers.
- Focus on camper development and growth in group, unit, and all‑camp activities.
- Be qualified to, or willing to obtain skills to, set up, teach, and maintain one or more camp activities and develop lesson plans.
- Assume weekend responsibilities for one weekend of the summer.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Preferably has experience working with youth in a summer camp setting.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and efficiently manage time.
- Must have current CPR/First Aid certification or be willing to obtain it.
- All other duties as assigned.

- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Work inside and outside in all weather conditions.
- Hike on rugged terrain.
- Lift up to 25 pounds, climb/work on ladders and in tight spaces.
