What it's about

The Business Manager owns and executes critical Private Equity business processes and strategic initiatives at a global level, working across senior leaders, investment teams, and functional partners, to deliver accurate, timely, and high‑quality business outcomes.

This position requires extensive cross‑group coordination, strong financial acumen, and deep experience with data, reporting, KPIs, and project management, alongside an entrepreneurial mindset and excellent communication and presentation skills. This role balances leadership, influence, and hands‑on execution, with clear accountability for outcomes across governance, reporting, and operational processes. Success requires the ability to operate effectively under pressure, manage fixed deadlines, and deliver with excellence in an evolving and ambiguous environment.

The Business Manager serves as a core operational and strategic partner to the Private Equity leadership team, owning key business processes, and enabling informed decision‑making across the platform. A central focus of the role is ensuring the integrity and consistency of portfolio company data by partnering with investment teams and functional stakeholders to test, validate, and reconcile data used in governance reporting, supporting a robust and trusted data foundation to inform decision‑making.

Responsibilities
  • Report to and work with the Private Equity COO and global operations team on operational and strategic initiatives that optimize and scale our Private Equity department
  • Create partnerships within the investment team and across other departments
  • Identify, develop, and drive strategic projects across Private Equity and within specific industry verticals
  • Own Private Equity KPIs, scorecard, and governance reporting requirements end‑to‑end, including definition, data collection, validation, reconciliation across systems, senior‑level review, and final delivery
  • Develop clear, audience‑tailored communications—including high‑impact PowerPoint presentations—for stakeholders ranging from cross‑functional teams across all departments to senior executives.
  • Plan and execute regional conference for thought‑leaders, portfolio CEOs and board members
  • Understand the voice of the organization and employee pulse
  • Develop content for leadership meetings and team forums, translating complex data and investment input into clear narratives and visuals
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and governance of key Private Equity data metrics across systems, submissions, and executive materials, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Provide reliable, effective support on ad‑hoc projects and initiatives
  • Gather, analyze and interpret data, writing reports and updating documentation
  • Communicate regularly between global offices to build relationships
  • Manage recurring PE processes and submissions (e.g. exit forecasts, board materials) including timeline management, data validation, and investment team coordination
What we expect
  • The ideal candidate will have bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or other business‑related roles
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects—balancing longer‑term initiatives with fast‑turn, short‑notice requests—while meeting deadlines and maintaining high quality.
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills required to design and deliver polished, executive‑ready slides (clear storyline, strong visuals, consistent formatting, and data‑to‑insight summarization).
  • Established track record in operations, finance, and/or program management
  • Superior understanding of KPI and data analysis techniques
  • Expert skills in analyzing and modelling data
  • Systems‑thinker with drive to improve…
