Seasonal Teen Trip Leader; Roving Recreation

HIRING RANGE IS $18.95-$21.79/HR

Under the guidance of a Recreation Coordinator, the Seasonal Teen Trip Leader age 18 and up assists in planning and implementing summer trip activities for youth and teens, ages 12-17.

This is a 35-40 hour seasonal position that will work approximately 8:00am-4:00pm Monday-Friday.

• Plans and implements summer Youth & Teen trips and group activities under supervision of a Recreation Coordinator.
• Drives a 15 passenger van and Ford Expedition daily.
• Completes light custodial work and equipment set‑up and breakdown in accordance with assignments.
• Maintains supply inventory and procures supplies for planned activities.
• Submits receipts for materials to supervisor in a timely manner.
• Represents the City of Northglenn in a positive manner, utilizing excellent customer service when interacting with numerous organizations and individuals, including patrons and fellow employees.
• Participates in and attends trainings.
• Values diversity; demonstrates awareness and sensitivity and adapts behaviors and communications to accommodate these differences.
• Responds proactively with written and verbal communication in an appropriate manner, including phone calls, emails, and in-person interactions.
• Maintains attendance records.
• Follows appropriate opening and closing procedures.
• Documents accidents and incidents in the program.
• Encourages patron adherence to operating policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws when necessary.

• High School Diploma or equivalent and be 18 or older.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in recreation or working with youth.
• Skill in customer service, communication, and cash handling.
• Knowledge of arts and crafts, sports, or other recreational activities.
• Must possess at time of employment and maintain a valid Colorado motor vehicle operator’s license and good driving record.
• Must provide a current Motor Vehicle Record.
• CPR and First Aide certification is required. Training will be provided.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Background and Drug Screen are required of selected candidate.
