Location: Broomfield
HIRING RANGE IS $18.95-$21.79/HR
Under the guidance of a Recreation Coordinator, the Seasonal Teen Trip Leader age 18 and up assists in planning and implementing summer trip activities for youth and teens, ages 12-17.
This is a 35-40 hour seasonal position that will work approximately 8:00am-4:00pm Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities- Plans and implements summer Youth & Teen trips and group activities under supervision of a Recreation Coordinator.
- Drives a 15 passenger van and Ford Expedition daily.
- Completes light custodial work and equipment set‑up and breakdown in accordance with assignments.
- Maintains supply inventory and procures supplies for planned activities.
- Submits receipts for materials to supervisor in a timely manner.
- Represents the City of Northglenn in a positive manner, utilizing excellent customer service when interacting with numerous organizations and individuals, including patrons and fellow employees.
- Participates in and attends trainings.
- Values diversity; demonstrates awareness and sensitivity and adapts behaviors and communications to accommodate these differences.
- Responds proactively with written and verbal communication in an appropriate manner, including phone calls, emails, and in-person interactions.
- Maintains attendance records.
- Follows appropriate opening and closing procedures.
- Documents accidents and incidents in the program.
- Encourages patron adherence to operating policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws when necessary.

Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent and be 18 or older.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in recreation or working with youth.
- Skill in customer service, communication, and cash handling.
- Knowledge of arts and crafts, sports, or other recreational activities.
- Must possess at time of employment and maintain a valid Colorado motor vehicle operator’s license and good driving record.
- Must provide a current Motor Vehicle Record.
- CPR and First Aide certification is required. Training will be provided.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Background and Drug Screen are required of selected candidate.
