Mobile Bus Technician

Davey Coach Sales is the nation‑wide leader in van and bus sales. We have an immediate opening for a Mobile Bus Technician in our ever‑growing office in Sedalia, CO
. This position will serve the mountain towns (Steamboat and Silverthorne area). You will diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical damage to vehicles while ensuring safety and quality for timely delivery. Additional responsibilities include performing light‑to‑heavy maintenance and service work.

• Analyze, diagnose, and evaluate damaged vehicles to determine repair or service needs and potential replacement of parts.
• Identify any opportunity to upsell to the customer; address DOT inspections where necessary.
• Maintain shop vehicles.
• Assist other technicians on diagnosing difficult or abnormal repairs or services.
• Accurately estimate costs for repairs, maintenance, and service required.
• Perform advanced, basic, and minor repairs – brake and hydraulic, exhaust, engine and transmission, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension and alignment, restraints and airbags, wheelchair lifts, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Inspect and test all mechanical repairs to meet manufacturers’ specifications. Road‑test vehicles when required.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure all appointment requests are handled.
• Communicate with the production team to keep all vehicles on schedule for on‑time delivery.

• High school diploma/GED required; auto mechanic vocational graduate preferred.
• 2+ years of automobile or automotive mechanical/electrical diagnosis, problem‑solving, and repair experience in a related industry preferred.
• ASE certification.
• Must have a large selection of tools to do most jobs.
• Experience diagnosing problems – mechanical, repairing, rebuilding and overhauling mechanical, electrical, electronic and/or hydraulic systems in a wide variety of automotive vehicles.
• Knowledge of using manufacturers’ service and repair manuals.
• Highly organized, able to prioritize multiple concurrent assignments.
