Staff Accountant

The Blackhawk Group is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in Broomfield, CO. This key role supports our financial department by managing essential daily accounting tasks. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for processing accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R), performing account and credit card reconciliations, and maintaining precise financial records.

You'll also assist with audits and resolve discrepancies while collaborating closely with the A/P Manager and financial team. If you're passionate about numbers, meticulous with details, and enjoy contributing to a high-performance financial team, we want to hear from you!

• Prepare and process A/P and A/R invoices, sales receipts, and customer payments accurately and punctually.
• Reconcile outstanding A/P payments, bank balances, and book balances, resolving discrepancies as needed.
• Accurately enter financial transactions into accounting ERP.
• Update the general ledger regularly to ensure accurate and current financial records.
• Conduct weekly and monthly credit card reconciliations to ensure transaction accuracy.
• Maintain organized digital and physical financial records for easy access and compliance.
• Communicate with clients and vendors to address billing and payment inquiries professionally.
• Assist with audits, fact-checks, and resolving financial discrepancies.
• Provide support to the financial department and Controller as needed.
• Assist with month end closing & reconciling.

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
• MBA or Accounting Certificate/CPA is a plus.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in bookkeeping or an accounting role.
• Previous experience in the aviation or car industry is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to efficiency and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Proficient knowledge of general financial and cost accounting.
• Understanding and adherence to GAAP principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Proficiency with Adobe
• Experience with accounting software such as Dynamics GP, Quick Books, and Business Central 365.

Pay rate: $32-$35 per hour Depending on Experience
