Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $75,000 to $100,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and prepare journal entries in compliance with GAAP
- Analyze journal entries and accruals to ensure accuracy before generating financial statements
- Prepare internal and external financial statements and support compliance reporting
- Manage fixed asset records and process payroll journal entries with proper allocation
- Assist with accounts payable, credit card reconciliations, and audit documentation
- Generate custom financial reports and provide insights for strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and planning
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal financial policies
- Communicate financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and financial modeling
- Knowledge of accounting software such as Sage, Quick Books, or Net Suite
- Work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
