Wavelynx Technologies is a leader in the security industry, specializing in the design and manufacturing of cutting‑edge electronics for credentialing and access control.

We are seeking an Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, overseeing all aspects of the accounting cycle, supervising a team of accounting professionals, and playing a key role in financial compliance.

Location:

During the first 90 days, the role will be in the office 5 days a week at our Headquarters in Broomfield, CO. After 90 days, one day a week may be remote.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage the day‑to‑day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll entries.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.
  • Implement and maintain accounting systems and processes to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Maintain a three‑working‑day close.
  • Produce monthly balance‑sheet account reconciliations.
  • Oversee the annual audit process, including the tax provision.
  • Become a subject‑matter expert in Net Suite and partner with the CFO on optimizing the company’s Net Suite instance.
  • Oversee the company’s credit‑card and P‑Card program.
  • Coordinate all tax filings, quarterly estimated tax payments, and SALT filings and studies with our third‑party tax advisor.
Compliance & Internal Controls
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with all accounting policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls.
Business Process Definition & Optimization
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand how the business operates.
  • Document, repeat, and ensure processes produce accurate financial results.
  • Implement systems that transact and record business in alignment with accounting practices.
  • Recommend efficiency and profitability improvements as needed.
Team Management & Development
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
  • Provide guidance and support on accounting issues and best practices.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Collaboration & Communication
  • Collaborate with departments such as Finance, Operations, and Sales to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and tax advisors.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
    • CPA certification is preferred but not required.
    • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a management role.
    • Experience in both public and private sectors is preferred but not required.
  • Technical

    Skills:

    • Strong understanding of GAAP.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and systems; experience in Net Suite preferred, strong ERP experience required with a mid‑tier solution.
    • Revenue recognition expertise in manufacturing and SaaS environments; ASC
      606 experience strongly desired.
    • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
    • Direct experience managing external audits with third‑party CPA firms.
    • Experience managing and directing deferred tax calculations with third‑party CPA firms.
    • Experience with 1099s and state/local tax compliance matters.
  • Leadership & Management

    Skills:

    • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to delegate effectively and manage multiple priorities.
