JOBSUMMARY
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications Experimentation Laboratory (C2
BMC X‑Lab) is a very fast paced and dynamic environment. The X‑Lab is responsible for developing and integrating future‑capability prototypes for the Missile Defense System, including Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development and other critical leading‑edge missile defense technologies. The Software Engineer's primary responsibility is to work as a mid‑level member of the X‑Lab software development team to develop and test innovative solutions in support of X‑Lab projects and experiments.
This position is located full‑time on site at the Missile Defense Integration and Operations Center (MDIOC) located on Schriever SFB, CO, and is not a remote work position. Some work is required at Hwy 83 facility. Non‑standard work hours are likely during event execution.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREDCareer level typically with an advanced degree and 3+ years experience or bachelors with 5+ years experience or equivalent; wide application of principles, theories, and concepts in their field and provides solutions to a wide range of difficult problems with imaginative and thorough solutions; works under general direction, and results are reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives; failure to achieve results normally results in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources;
frequent internal and external customer contacts and represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.
Additionally:
Experience with Java and spring framework. Experience with the Linux environment. Experience in the use of software test and analysis tools. Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
