Infinity Systems Engineering is seeking a Sr Principal Software Engineer to work on‑site at Schriever SFB, near Colorado Springs, CO. We liaise with the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and Satellite Control Network (SCN) to support our program, and to provide satellite support services to our mission critical customer. This program conducts real time on‑orbit support, launch ascent support and End‑of‑Life operations for all NOPS (NRO Operations Squadron) missions.

• Maintain software used to establish connections for status & control of ground equipment.
• Provide Java software development and perform all aspects of software engineering support required to implement systems.
• Maintain software that handles scheduling of on‑orbit contacts and orbit calculations.
• Write software that supports launch operations with trajectory calculations for the Space
  
  X and ULA vendors.
• Assist team members on Java development using the Spring Boot framework.
• Develop React‑based user interfaces for operator interaction.
• Write microservices that interact with vendor interfaces for data processing.
• Deploy new containerized applications in Kubernetes environments.
• Extend and enhance existing capabilities to meet new customer requests.

• Security Clearance: TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience, or Master’s and 6 years of experience, or High School diploma/Equivalent and 12 years of experience.
• Experience and proficiency with Java and Spring Boot (or similar).
• Experience with Java IDE, Git (or similar version control), and software design and build systems.
• Experience with No
  
  SQL databases such as Mongo
  
  DB.
• Preferred: experience with distributed Git, Docker/Kubernetes, Ansible automation, VMware toolsets, C++ programming, and SQL databases.

Ability to work at a desk and operate a computer for extended periods.

This is a full‑time position, typically 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required depending on operational needs.
