Fire Alarm and Fire Sprinkler Inspector

• Perform routine inspections, testing and services of life safety product lines
• Handle low voltage wiring and related devices for low voltage equipment operation
• Work with minimal supervision while performing fire protection inspections
• Communicate daily with Project Manager and/or Schedule Coordinator on inspection or project delays, requirements and status
• Collaborate with Project Manager, Schedule Coordinator and Office Staff to ensure complete closeout and turnover of jobs to the client (confirm work is complete for billing)

• NICET Level II for fire sprinklers is required; NICET Level II for fire alarms is preferred or CSA License
• CSA License for fire sprinklers is required; CSA License for fire alarms is preferred or NICET II
• Strong working knowledge of life safety and NFPA codes
• Working knowledge of alarm panels, devices and critical components
• Working knowledge of sprinkler controls, alarm panels, devices and critical components
• Willing to perform testing and maintenance
• Proficient in documentation and use of personal computers and Microsoft Office
• Willing to coordinate between inspection deficiencies and corrective service
• Able to read and write English clearly
• Present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, AHJs and the public
• Valid driver’s license; in accordance with company policy
• Willing to pass post-offer drug screen, background and reference check

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
• Regular bending, reaching, climbing and walking

• Salary range: $25.00-$37.00 per hour depending on certifications
