Automatic Transmission Technician

Join us at Phil Long Ford of Motor City as a Full-Time Automatic Transmission Technician in Colorado Springs, CO. You'll work hands-on with cutting-edge technology in a dynamic, fast-paced automotive environment and contribute to customer satisfaction.

• Diagnose and repair manual and automatic transmissions in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
• Efficiently execute repairs based on detailed repair orders, ensuring quality and time allowances are met.
• Disassemble and reassemble transmission units and communicate with parts department and service advisors.
• Road test and document all work performed.
• Supervise apprentice technicians; maintain a tidy and safe work environment while adhering to federal and local regulations.
• Participate in continuous learning through manufacturer-sponsored training.

• Two to four years of related experience and/or equivalent training or education.
• Strong reading, writing and communication skills; ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to interpret complex instructions in various forms.
• Relevant certifications such as ASE and manufacturer training are highly beneficial; valid driver license.
