Position Title: Directional Drill Locator/Operator

Position Type: Full-Time

Hourly Pay Range: $28.00-$38.00 (Commensurate With Experience)

30-50 per week (Weekends as Needed)

Job Description: Seeking Directional Drill Locators/Operators in COLORADO SPRINGS and surrounding areas who are motivated, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, experience and requirements:

Must have a Class A CDL and 2-3 years of experience in directional locating and drilling in both standard and high-risk areas, including live and operational utilities.

• Assist the Drill Operator in locating the drill head and drilling in accordance with blueprints. Verify locate marks and confirm the location of existing facilities. Assist with clean-up and other duties as assigned.
• Maintain equipment per the manufacturer’s specifications and safety guidelines.
• Operate drilling equipment and various other construction equipment.
• Experience drilling in both standard and high-risk areas, such as areas with live utilities.
• Have knowledge of utility depths and placement.
• Possess general knowledge of construction practices and be familiar with equipment.
• Respect the importance of ensuring company assets (vehicles, equipment, tools, etc.) are properly and continuously maintained in good repair and secured safely.
• Organize materials and other resources needed to complete excavation requirements, which may include basic hand tools.
• Dig and backfill trenches by hand and deliver materials to job sites.
• Locate utilities; track the driller; handle and fuse pipe; change drill bits and tools.
• Assist in routine maintenance and lubrication of rig equipment and trucks.
• Assist in the inspection of all equipment.

• Class A CDL with 2-3 years of experience in directional locating and drilling in standard and high-risk areas, including live utilities.
