We are seeking a skilled Drywall Repair Technician to join our team as a 1099 contractor. The role involves repairing and matching drywall textures on a variety of residential projects.

We value attention to detail, exceptional craftsmanship, and the ability to work independently.

• Repair damaged drywall by replacing, taping, mudding, and sanding with precision and accuracy (e.g., 2-4¼" joint compound and sanding-over).
• Match existing drywall textures (e.g., orange peel, knockdown, smooth) for a seamless finish that blends perfectly with the surrounding area.
• Hang drywall and insulation with care and precision.
• Perform demolition of drywall as needed, while minimizing impact on surrounding areas.
• Prepare and protect work areas, including furniture and floors, and leave the area spotless upon completion.
• Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction with the completed work and handle any questions or concerns professionally and courteously.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, taking care to minimize disruption to the customer's daily life.

• At least 3 years of experience in drywall repair and texture matching, with a portfolio of completed projects showcasing your skills.
• Experience in hanging drywall and insulation, as well as demolition of drywall, with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
• Own tools and transportation capable of hauling drywall, materials, and other project necessities.
• Possess everything needed to complete the job to the highest standards.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work independently and find solutions to challenges that arise on the job.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and ensure their satisfaction with the completed work.

This is a 1099 contractor position with a trial project at $27.50 per hour to assess your skills and texture‑matching abilities. After successfully completing 2 or 3 projects, we will consider moving to a piece‑work arrangement that reflects the quality of your work.
