We are looking for an experienced Senior Industrial Security Specialist to join our security team in Colorado Springs, CO
.
As a Senior-level Industrial Security Specialist, you will work with both senior and junior staff members to administer and implement US Industrial Security Standards as outlined in the National Industrial Security Program Manual (NISPOM), the DoD Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Administrative Security Manual, Special Access Program (SAP) Security rules and/or other authoritative sources of security regulations. As an individual contributor, you will ensure programmatic security posture is compliant with all applicable regulations by performing the Actions of Personnel Security, Physical Security and Program Supply Chain Acquisition Security.
PositionResponsibilities
- Executes Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
- Identifies deficiencies, develops and implements corrective action
- Communicates results to security management and customers
- Conducts Administrative Inquiries on personnel, processes and situations in accordance with established operating procedures to determine level and scope of non-compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
- Conducts Communication Security (COMSEC) duties and responsibilities (including inventory, distribution and destruction), in compliance with government regulations/requirements
- Protects government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures
- Develops, implements and administers an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements on large and/or complex programs
- Leads and performs Personnel Security team and/or processes to assist in obtaining individual security clearances/accesses for complex customer requirements
- Establishes and implements a security awareness training and education program to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information
- Performs Physical Security duties and responsibilities within Boeing facilities to ensure compliance with company and government regulations/requirements
- Performs Sub-Contractor Management to ensure compliance with government regulations/requirements
- Participates, as requested, on enterprise Integrated Product Team (IPT)
- Demonstrates proficiency with/utilize specific databases to determine personnel eligibility to access classified information
- Conducts initial and recurring security briefings to cleared workforce members on topics such as critical program information, marking, safeguarding and destroying classified information, operations security, physical and communication security, and other security training as required
- Manages personnel records, classified material records and/or other sensitive records to ensure the highest levels of data integrity and correctness
- Conduct inventories and records reconciliation actions to ensure accuracy and accountability
- Prepares activity or program CONOPs outlining unique security protection requirements for sensitive operations; establishes procedures for protecting, handling, storing, and transporting proprietary materials
- Coordinates across the security workforce, Boeing engineering, managerial and technical teams, as well as senior Boeing personnel and U.S. Government customers to seek contract execution approvals, security rulings or deviations as may be required
- Successfully completed a Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years or have been enrolled in a Continuous Evaluation program within the last 5 years
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government polygraph
- Ability to obtain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and/or Special Access Programs (SAP)
- 5+ years of experience in Industrial Security
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Information Security or equivalent
- CDSE, NSTI/SASSI or other Professional Certification in SAP Security, SCI Administration, ICD-705, JSIG/RMF, COMSEC, or related security certifications
- Experience with A/CPSO, A/CSSO, FSO
- Experience as an Industrial Security Analyst
- Experience working in an SCI/SAP/Aerospace security/intelligence community environment
- Experience with NISPOM and DoD SAP Manuals
- Experience multi-tasking with minimal supervision
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
