Overview
The United States Space Force (USSF) Space Operations Command (SpOC) at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado is searching for a Delta Government SAP Security Officer (NH-0080-03, GS 12/13 equivalent).
Description:

Are you good at planning, analyzing, and evaluating those programs to meet mission requirements, while improving the security programs of a highly dynamic, young organization tasked with protecting and defending the space domain? The Orbital Warfare Delta is seeking a Government SAP Security Officer (GSSO) to provide oversight and management of multiple security disciplines (information, personnel, physical, computer operations, and communications) in support of advanced and Special Access Programs. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver, adept at independently analyzing and resolving complex security challenges.
A strong foundation in Special Access Program (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security procedures is essential.
Key
Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of a wide range of security concepts, principles, and practices to review, independently analyze, and resolve difficult and complex security problems; apply policy direction to contractors and government/military officials, and develop guidance for applying security policy, procedures, techniques, equipment, and methods to a variety of work situations and various levels or degrees of security controls.Knowledge of a broad range of security program relationships, and proficiency in information, personnel, and industrial security to effectively implement and administer applicable security programs and/or coordinate with other specialized security programs.Knowledge of security classification methods, concepts, and eligibility for access to classified or sensitive information to review plans for proposed or new projects, organizations, and/or missions to assure the presence of adequate planning for information security and other controls.Knowledge of required Security Special Access Program (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security procedures.Skill in planning, developing, analyzing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program.The candidate must be able to plan and organize work, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.Requirements
Must be a U.S Citizen.Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret w/SCI clearance. Position is designated special-sensitive and requires a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing.Employee is in a designated position that requires consent and thereafter be subject to and successfully complete, an initial, periodic, and random counterintelligence (CI) scope polygraph examination as a condition of employment. The employee must successfully take and pass a Counterintelligence Polygraph (CIP) Examination.Employee needs to obtain and maintain approval to access the portfolio of Special Access Programs required to perform daily duties.Incumbent must attain DoD Security Cooperation Workforce (SCW) Certification and complete related continuous learning requirements.This is a Mission Essential (ME) position.Security Certification Coding: (SFPC) Security Fundamentals Professional Certification,
