PartTime Alcohol Tobacco Compliance Checker BARS Program

Job Description

We’re hiring Part-Time Alcohol & Tobacco Compliance Checkers ($18/hr + mileage reimbursement) to work in various locations in and around the Triangle
. In this role, you’ll serve as a Secret Shopper supporting a state-authorized compliance program that helps ensure businesses are properly checking IDs when selling alcohol and tobacco products. As a compliance checker, you’ll visit retail stores, gas stations, and restaurants to help promote responsible sales practices and support public safety.

What You’ll Do:

• Visit 10–30 assigned locations per route
• Attempt purchases of alcohol or tobacco following program guidelines
• Report results using a mobile device
• Submit accurate reports after each visit

Requirements:

• Must be 21+ and able to reasonably appear under 21 (BFOQ – required for compliance checks)
• Reliable transportation
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Discreet, professional, and dependable
• Flexible scheduling – you choose the days you re available!
