Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service:
Provides SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures and programs. - Vendor relationships:
Builds relationships with vendors by providing direction and checking to ensure merchandise resets are completed according to Lowe’s specifications. - Collaboration:
Collaborates with the Merchandising Service team and Manager by communicating project priorities, schedule, and project needs (e.g., materials, supplies, time). - Performance analysis:
Analyzes metrics and provides feedback on project execution and in-store service to store, market, and corporate leaders. - Customer engagement when appropriate:
Although the majority of time is spent on non-customer interactions, the role engages with customers when opportunities arise, including: - Understand customer needs and assist in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and assist in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise.
- Listen and respond to customer and employee questions, guiding them to areas of the store and walking them through projects when necessary.
- Demonstrate sincere appreciation to customers.
- Provide information to customers regarding stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, applications, and warranty information related to Lowe’s programs.
- In-stock maintenance and product handling:
Move or replace beams and grids, rotate stock, build products, display products and support materials using power equipment per reset/project instructions and processes. - Product integrity:
Identify damaged products, remove them from shelves, deliver to RTM area, and sign off as defective; verify buyback items and ensure they are pulled, prepped, and ready for shipping. - Signage and pricing:
Identify damaged or missing signage and collateral, order replacements, ensure pricing information is visible and clear, and resolve/replace missing pricing labels; update way finding and product location signage and maintain digital information storewide. - Merchandising standards:
Ensure cross merchandise, side stack products, j-hooks, and gravity feed bins are placed appropriately to drive add-on sales; stage clearance and damaged merchandise for quick sale. - Stock organization:
Sort products in bins, drawers, and boxes to ensure proper location; merchandise to plantogram, price, color block, and place plants; fill plant racks onto plant tables to meet grand opening standards. - Store cleanliness and safety:
Maintain clean and safe stores; complete and enter completion details for all assigned merchandise reset, service, and maintenance tasks; ensure displays are safe and in working order; repair or replace as needed; remove trash and debris; replace light bulbs and report maintenance issues. - Loss prevention and housekeeping:
Detect signs of shoplifting and security risks and promptly communicate to management/Asset Protection; comply with housekeeping standards to maintain cleanliness and organization. - Safety and equipment operation:
Maintain a safe work environment, conduct daily safety reviews, and operate store equipment as needed (examples include Zebra device, phones, PCs, CCTV, etc.). - Other duties:
Perform additional duties as assigned and maintain POS signage and pricing accuracy; follow state guidelines on price changes (Pricing Policy SF-06).
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education, if applicable.
- 6 Months of Lowe’s sales floor experience.
- 6 Months of experience performing product merchandising tasks, including reading planograms and plantograms, and setting up/taking down displays.
- 3 Months of experience operating power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
Pay Range: $15.16 - $15.60 per hour.
