New Graduate RN Residency: Southern

Position: RN Graduate – practice specialty designation upon interview and hire

Summary:

Hired and enrolled for the first 12 months of practice in the UCHealth Nurse Residency Program in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and within the policies, values, and mission of the organization

Work Schedule:

Full Time - rotate to night shift or unit specific schedule, 0.9 FTE (72 hours per pay period)

• Provide scope practice in direct patient care utilizing the nursing process
• Value a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes
• Prioritize wellness, a patient perspective and evidence-based practice
• Model proficiency through precepting those new to healthcare and/or UCHealth
• Welcome new knowledge in a fast paced, innovative clinical environment
• Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care

Southern Colorado Region includes the following hospitals:

• Memorial Hospital Central (Colorado Springs, CO)
• Memorial Hospital North (Colorado Springs, CO)
• Grandview Hospital (Colorado Springs, CO)
• Pikes Peak Regional Hospital (Woodland Park, CO)

Various unit availability in the following Clinical Divisions:

• Acute Care
• Oncology
• Critical Care to include Progressive and Intensive Care
• Women's and Infants Service Line
• Behavioral Health - Psychiatry
• Perioperative
• Emergency Department
• Interventional and Procedural Care

• Graduate of an accredited Registered/Professional Nursing program.
• Required Licensure / Certification:
  State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in hand before start date and valid through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire;
  
  all renewals must be completed through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)

Pay rate for this position is: $32.01 - $38.91 / hour based on RN Graduate Specialty upon hire
