Position: Volunteer Troop Leader & Mentor for Girls Scouts

Overview

Founded in 1912, Girl Scouts of the USA is the preeminent organization for girls with a current membership of 3.6 million girls and adults. Volunteers use their expertise, skills, interests, and life experience to shape fun and enriching leadership experiences for girls, and inspire them to reach their personal best. Volunteers help council staff facilitate the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girls through exciting program opportunities in leadership, self-esteem, financial literacy, travel, health/wellness, science, technology, engineering, and math.

Volunteers choose from several flexible pathways that fit their lifestyles, including short-term or long-term service working either directly or indirectly with girls, and they can participate regionally, nationally, and internationally.

Whether you are a college-student, retiree, or anyone looking to give back to your community, Girl Scouts of Colorado always has exciting, new volunteer opportunities for you! Whether it s in-person or from the comfort of your home, there are many ways to volunteer with us.

Volunteer opportunities
  • Troop Leader/Co-Leader
    Work with a group of girls and mentor them as they make new friends and develop connections that will last a lifetime.
  • Troop Launch Volunteer/Seasonal Volunteers
    Whether you can give a few hours, a few weeks, or a few months, volunteering with Girl Scouts is flexible and fun! Work with Council to recruit, run girl programs that helps GSCO continue to deliver the Girl Scout experience, and help launch girls into a lifetime of adventure by volunteering with a forming troop.
  • Troop Support Volunteer
    Assist with driving, activity planning, snacks, money management, or other tasks necessary to keep the troop running oh-so-smoothly from week to week.
