• Perform assessment intake and obtain personal history of residents
• Assess and refer residents to appropriate resources and agencies
• Maintain accurate written case notes for each resident interviewed
• Follow all policies and procedures of the center
• Meet with assigned families weekly for updates and guidance
• Distribute supplies and other belongings to clients
• Search belongings in a proper manner and maintain records in a timely, accurate, and orderly manner
• Participate in training as required by the Social Services Director
• Maintain required records related to grant administration
• Give highest priority to welfare of each resident and manage step/phase program
• Provide input to needed educational programming
• Cooperate with other center staff and volunteers and maintain a professional attitude and appearance
• Actively support the mission and goals of The Salvation Army

• Associate degree in Human Services (required) and Bachelor’s preferred
• Minimum of one year in Case Management or a related field
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to present information to small groups
• Demonstrate good judgment and act in a professional manner
• Maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines
• Work with people from diverse populations and reading/ writing in English
• Problem‑solving, listening, and organizational skills; multitask and prioritize according to deadlines
• Time management and file accuracy skills
• Software:
  Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook required; basic training for new software (Ulti‑Pro and others); create and maintain spreadsheets as needed

Minimum age of 21 (for insurance provision) and possession of a valid in‑state driver’s license required; annual MVR processed in accordance with The Salvation Army’s policies

Continued employment contingent upon biennial background check processed in accordance with The Salvation Army’s policies

• Maneuver, remain stationary, push, pull, and reach overhead
• Operate telephone; lift 25 pounds; access and produce information from computer; understand written information
