Volunteer Adult and Create Memories

Overview

Volunteer with an Older Adult and have some Summer fun! Porchlight Friends volunteers assist older adults with projects in the home, light housework and transportation for doctor appointments and errands. Volunteers provide face-to-face companionship visits, lasting 2 hours, to help battle loneliness and isolation. The Porchlight Health platform enables easy connection to family, friends, and community services and supports video chats, phone calls, and texting.

• Assist with projects in the home and light housework.
• Provide transportation for doctor appointments and errands (store, bank, pharmacy).
• Offer face-to-face companionship visits lasting 2 hours to combat loneliness and isolation.
• Support caregivers by providing respite care when caring for an older adult.
• Facilitate connections to family and friends using the Porchlight Health platform.
